NSW: Bushfire warnings for next 48 hours

Emergency services are gearing up for another spate of bushfires today and tomorrow
.. after a brief period of respite yesterday.

Two blazes in central NSW were successfully fought by the Rural Fire Service over the weekend.

A fire that burnt 250 hectares of bushland three kilometres northwest of Eglington
.. near Bathurst .. was put out by the RFS .. while another blaze .. 12 kilometres south
of Bathurst near Rockley Mountain .. was contained.

But with higher temperatures and blustery winds forecast for today .. firies have announced
total fire bans in five regions and issued warnings for others.



Total fire bans are in place in the Greater Hunter .. Central Ranges .. Northern Slopes
and the North West .. Upper Central West and Lower Central West plains.
