Fed: Wool price recovery hits two year high
Wool prices have ended the week at a two year high, with the wool recovery now lifting
prices by close to $1.00 a kilogram so far this year.
Wesfarmers/Dalgety says the Eastern Market Indicator has finished at a two year high,
up 31 cents for the week, closing at 713 cents a kilo clean.
And with the higher prices, pass-in rates are even lower this week with a pass-in rate
of only 6.6 per cent.
Prices have risen across the board, with the strongest rises again for the finer microns,
but in a major development, there are also strong grains for broader wools.
With next week's sales the last until May, wool sales are expected to finish on a high.
