W hen Dermot Weld shipped Go and Go from Ireland the Wednesday before his resounding Belmont Stakes win, horsemen and writers hailed it as an incredible training feat.

This time, the Irish ace came in a day later to Saratoga for the Travers. Must be because this is a shorter race than the Belmont.

Don't laugh, this guy is either a genius or Go and Go is truly an exceptional animal - or both. The horse has never set foot on the track and won't until the call to the post for today's seventh race. After his quarantine is over, Go and Go will gallop at the Oklahoma training track this morning.

Weld will also be trying to accomplish something that's only been done twice in the last 20 years - win the Belmont and the Travers. …
