`PYGMALION' ACTRESS ADDS EQUITY TO CAREER BY MICHAEL ECK SPECIAL TO THE TIMES UNION.(PREVIEW)

Margaret L. Robinson is getting her union card and she couldn't be happier.

The young actress has appeared in many shows around the area -- including ``Annie'' with the Schenectady Light Opera Company and ``The Sound of Music'' and ``Hello, Dolly!'' with Park Playhouse -- and has established a long relationship with the New York State Theatre Institute in Troy.

This week, she changes her relationship with NYSTI by thrusting an Equity feather in her cap and walking onstage as a professional actress, taking the lead of Eliza Doolittle in George Bernard Shaw's classic ``Pygmalion.''
